Terms And Conditions

Terms and Conditions 12/23
Please read these T&C’s as they form the basis for the way we conduct business with you.
We aim to offer you a transparent and courteous service, and so to avoid any confusion please refer to the following. If you have any questions please feel free to ask us for further clarity. We will try to be flexible to a degree within reason if some issue should arise, if we make any concessions, they are on one-off-basis. These T&C’s apply to any orders outstanding from 2023. We aim to treat all of our customers equally fairly, according to our stated priorities in these conditions.

Honey Orders
-Web and smaller regular outlet orders have precedence over bulk orders.
-Web orders must be paid in full to initiate order.
-All bulk wholesale honey orders are pro rata and require a 50% deposit to initiate. Full payment will be requested just before or upon completion of order, with 7 days final payment terms.
-After timely full payment – 1. We are happy to deliver your order on a pallet if required (at cost) to a freight company in Lismore NSW of your choice within 7 days of receiving full payment. 2. If order is completed according to our terms, we may be happy to store your order free for up to 21 days further as a courtesy if required, however we have limited space for storage and it would depend on size of order, this would be completely at our discretion.
-There may be fees if our terms are not met in a reasonable time frame, or if storage is expected beyond our terms.
-As of 2024 orders requiring delivery for freight will incur a pallet and packing fee of $35 per 225 kg’s Due to the weight of honey orders we only pack buckets onto pallets in one tier, then fully wrap the pallet in black cling film which protects it from sunlight. (if you order is say 500kg’s then it would be 2 pallets of 9 buckets and we would give 2 loose buckets separate)
-We can deliver orders of buckets un-palleted up to 500kgs. Above this orders will be palletised.
-Please note orders in spring can be delayed due to a late season start which is out of our hands as we are at the mercy of nature, either bee stock or the weather which will delay our work on the order, we will mention this at the outset so you understand, rest assured you’ll be updated regularly in any case so you know where we’re at.
-Due to working with livestock and being at the mercy of nature and associated ramifications, or any other impending concern whatsoever which may arise, Honey To Love reserves the right to cancel any order at any time and refund your deposit in full less any disbursements such as samples sent to you. -We will make every effort to refund you ASAP in the case of any unfortunate circumstances.
-Cancelling of orders by the customer for any reason incur a restocking and inconvenience fee of 25% of entire order value unless agreed otherwise.
-Fee’s may be added if our terms aren’t met in a timely manner, or if an alternative arrangement hasn’t been made accordingly.
-After 28 days of completion of order and final invoice, if said remains outstanding, or if we’ve received no communication from you your order will be cancelled and deposits non-refundable.
-Once an order has been delivered to freight it’s no longer our responsibility, any damage or issue with the freight is not our problem and would need to be taken up with the freight company’s claims department.
-We recommend that buckets are never exposed to too much direct hot sunlight, we avoid said when your order is in our care but have no control of that once out of our hands.  We recommend storage in a dark room at room temp, honey is fine in buckets for many years if temps are stable and no wild temp swings.

Contract’s to supply
If you wish to reserve an amount of our annual potential production it requires, we make a contract together in writing and we can forward the paperwork at your request. As of 2024 verbal agreements will no longer be made. Contracts will only be entered into with customers whom have already completed an order with us prior and who are in good standing.

Bee Hive Sales
-50% deposit is required to iniate the order, subject to the same terms and conditions as above in honey Sales.
-Please take the recommended opportunity to inspect nuc’s/hives to your satisfaction at our apiary upon collection, ensuring enough daylight for inspection. All responsibility for the bees and any obligations transfer to the buyer at collection/delivery.
-Our agreement binding upon collection/delivery/full payment, is that we supply a good healthy colony at point of sale to your satisfaction, and that you are registered as a Beekeeper with DPI or your states equal prior to collection, have the movement of bees declared accordingly, and have done the necessary study, have the experience or confidence, the necessary equipment needed ready, and the risk assessment understanding necessary to transport safely, and safely care for the bee’s needs going forward.
-Selling nuc’s over the years we’ve seen a wide variety of misunderstanding and consequent poor care on the part of the new beekeeper in transporting and setting up their hive, and It concerns us because; 1.We want you and the bees to succeed, and 2.  We don’t want the blame for problems that may arise that are fully out of our control, hence the need to clarify these terms.
-While we do our best to secure the entrance of hives are properly closed one must do their own due diligence to their own satisfaction in any regard concerning transport, as bees may escape during the transport if the hive is bumped or if the emlock’s should break (or what have you) which may be unlikely however possible, and one must be mindful and have a plan in place if any such thing should occur, especially if transporting bees within the cabin of a car. All such actions are at your own choice and risk. We are more than happy to give free advice on the proviso that we are not expected to be in any way responsible for how such advice is or isn’t followed or results. We provide healthy bee colonies and offer support as goodwill, and wish you every success in the learning curve of bee keeping. Bee keeping varies from location to location, any advice based on one bee keepers experience at one location or time in the season, should be filtered through understanding this caveat. This is why we need to be careful in not taking advice verbatim, but as a consideration for discernment applicable to your unique situation
